Man Chooses to be Buried on his Harley

The family of Billy Standley, carried out his final wish to be buried on his 1967 Harley Davidson motorcycle by hauling a large Plexiglas casket to Fairview Cemetery in Crawford County, Ohio. Standley spoke of being buried on his Harley for years and regularly showed off the unusual casket his two sons had built for him. He told people he didn’t just want to ride off to heaven, he wanted the world to see him do it in the big see-through box that his sons, Pete and Roy, fashioned out of Plexiglas. Five embalmers worked to prepare Standley’s body with special metal back brace to ensure he’ll never lose his seat.

Man Combines Wedding & Wife’s Funeral

In 2012, Chadil Deffy married his deceased girlfriend in a combination funeral and wedding ceremony. Deffy placed a ring on the finger of his girlfriend of 10 years, Sarinya “Anne” Kamsook, during the wedding portion of the ceremony. The couple intended to be married after Deffy completed his education. Unfortunately, Kamsook died in an accident before the couple actually set a date so Deffy married her after. We assume she consented. Unfortunately, the promise of “till death do us part” won’t mean much in this wedding

Girl Rehearses Her Funeral to Watch Friends & Family

Zeng Jia shocked her family by inviting them to her funeral before she died. The 22-year-old told her family that she wanted to take part in her funeral while still alive. Jia said that she realized how much time is spent planning a funeral so she wanted to experience hers complete with a coffin, flowers and origami birds, as well as photographers and makeup artists who specialize in working on dead bodies. She spent an hour playing dead, as friends and family passed by her coffin as she lay in her coffin with a Hello Kitty doll on her chest. She got out of the coffin to deliver her own eulogy.
